Tuition, Fees and Policies
Patterson Scholars:
Open to an unlimited number of day students grades 9 – 11. Must
have demonstrated academic achievement and citizenship.
Separate application process applies.
Go to The Patterson School website under Admissions and
Scholars Program for details.
Uniforms:
Students will purchase uniforms shirts and outerwear from the school
Bookstore.
Expense Accounts:
This is required of all students except day students.
A student may withdraw $25 per week for spending.
Any more must be requested with justification through a signed
fax from the parents. A signed
permission disclosure may be signed by parents for the students or the
school to withdraw specified amounts of money required for activities
with a prescribed charge, i.e. skiing, rafting, etc.
For international students, the expectation is to have a larger
amount of funds available to cover travel, testing fees, shopping,
clothing, school and personal supplies.
These funds are managed by The Patterson School Business
Office. Any balance will be
refunded at the end of the year.
Excessive Damage to school property will be billed per
quote of repair cost.
Travel:
All airline reservations need to be made for arrival and
departure from the Charlotte-Douglas
International
Airport
at Charlotte, North Carolina.
Students may also travel by bus or train from the
Charlotte
stations. Set dates will be
provided where the school will arrange for free shuttle pick-up and
delivery at the beginning and ending of the school year and in leaving
for and returning from scheduled school breaks.
Health Insurance for International Students: The United States
does not have socialized medical care resulting in very expensive
costs. We require all
international students to be covered by medical insurance.
We can obtain this for the student at a cost of approximately
$500 for a nine month period.
If the student already has coverage, we must have proof of the policy
prior to the student’s arrival.
Wire Transfer Instructions: Call
Business Office for details.
Financial Aid:
A limited amount of financial aid is available for
domestic families with a
demonstrated financial need.
Apply for financial aid through
www.nais.org then click on “SSS/Apply for Financial Aid” on left
column.
The
Patterson
School
does not discriminate on the basis of

origin.
