   Weekend Activities

Canoeing: several outfitters and worldclass streams can be found near the Patterson campus. Students learn safety and are properly outfitted for the sport
Snow Skiing: the best skiing in North Carolina is located within one hour of the Patterson Campus. Most slopes surround the city of Boone, NC.
Hiking: North Carolina has the highest peaks on the east coast of the US. Patterson students hike the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Moutain. In addition, Patterson School has many miles of trails on its own 1400 acre campus.
White Water Rafting: some of the best white water in the US is found within an hour of the Patterson School.
