Upper School Curriculum

Foreign Language

Spanish I
Grades 9-12, One Credit
Students will gain an elementary level of competency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. Students will also develop a cultural awareness of Spanish-speaking countries and cultures.

Spanish II
Grades 9-12, One Credit
This course is suitable for any student who has completed Spanish I. Students will progress to more advanced levels listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish. Students will continue to study Spanish-speaking countries and cultures.

Spanish III
Grades 9-12, One Credit
This course is suitable for any student who has completed Spanish I and Spanish II. Students will develop a level of proficiency with the Spanish language where they feel comfortable using and understanding the language.

German I
Grades 9-12, One Credit
This course will provide students with the basic grammar, composition skills, and reading skills in the German language. Students will also gain an understanding of the life of the average German through films, newspapers, texts, and relevant artifacts.

German II
Grades 9-12, One Credit
This course is suitabel for any student who has completed German I. Students will progress to more advanced levels of grammar, composition, and reading skills in the German language. Students will continue to study German culture.

American Sign Language
Grades 9-12, One Credit
