   Living at the Patterson School

The dormities and recreation rooms are important to the life of all boarding students. They are places to socialize, study, and relax. As 90% of the Patterson School students board, the campus is a lively place until lights out at 10:30 PM. Most of the faculty live on campus in small houses spread around the classroom and dormitory buildings.

The residential program is supported by five buildings:
  • Hickory Hall, The Dining Hall
  • Wiese House, The Boys' Dormitory
  • Henry House, The Boys' Dormitory
  • Palmyra House, The Girls' Dormitory
  • Hill House, Fifth Year Girls' Dormitory
  • Recreation Center

A dormitory parent resides on each floor. Each floor has two large bathrooms, one lounge room, and one laundry room.

A full service cafeteria in Hickory Hall serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.

Each evening the Recreation Center is open for two hours and contains pool tables, a large screen television, snack bar, video games, board games, and comfortable conversation areas. You will often find a faculty member with a student engrossed in a game of chess or a pool tournament between the dormitory floors.

The library is open in the evening for supervised use of the computers and books.

Students often find life long friends among the residents at The Patterson School.
